Climate change is now upon us, posing great threats to our planet and humanity. There is a wide consensus about the physical observations pointing toward a warming Earth. However, large uncertainty exists on how climate change impacts biological systems. My research integrates ecological theory and statistical methods to understand and predict global change impacts on forest, grassland, and human disease. To address these challenges, I focus on three specific areas: (1) large-scale responses to climate change in forests; (2) long-term global change impacts on grasslands; and (3) social-environmental changes to influence human disease.
